Launched by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in June 2018, the Student Direct Stream (SDS) offers much faster visa processing times for qualifying international students pursuing higher education in Canada.

Countries currently eligible for SDS applications are Brazil, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Antigua and Barbuda, India, Morocco, Pakistan, Peru, the Philippines, Senegal, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, and Vietnam.
