Languages Canada, the national representative body of Canada’s Official Languages education sector, has announced a strategic partnership with BorderPass, a leading Canadian immigration legal service supported by licensed lawyers and powered by technology. This collaboration aims to clarify and improve the visa application process for newcomers, visitors, and international students, offering critical support to education agencies and institutions navigating evolving immigration challenges.
As visa application processes become more complex and Canadian immigration policies become stricter, this initiative ensures that students can submit complete, accurate, and IRCC-compliant applications with the oversight of licensed legal professionals. Additionally, it provides access to post-refusal support, including appeals and judicial reviews.
Through this collaboration, students accepted into Canadian programs and their representatives now have access to the full suite of BorderPass’s services, including expert legal review and submission of study permit, Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), and extension applications. Post-refusal support, including appeals and judicial reviews where appropriate, is available, along with ongoing guidance for students throughout their time in Canada, including post-graduation work permit applications and tools for planning permanent residency pathways.
For educational institutions and agencies, the partnership offers better-prepared applications leading to stronger outcomes, support that helps reduce errors and delays, reduced internal administrative costs, affordable access to appeals processes and insights into visa refusals, and ongoing updates on IRCC policy changes.
Both Languages Canada and BorderPass recognize the urgent need for better outcomes and integrity in international student immigration. With institutions and agencies playing a critical role in student success, this partnership empowers them with a toolset designed for the realities of today’s immigration landscape.
The Languages Canada and BorderPass partnership is available now to all education agencies, international students, and Canadian educational institutions. More information can be found at languagescanada.ca/borderpass.
